The current power outage on campus is due to loss of service at two feeder stations from BGE, the local electric utility, similar to the outage that occurred Sept. 22. Power is also out at off-campus locations, including Johns Hopkins at Keswick.
BGE is uncertain of the cause. Johns Hopkins Plant Operations staff members are working to manually switch the campus to other sources of electricity, as they did during the September event. Power is expected to be restored to all buildings within the hour.
