Planning, Architecture & Engineering (PA&E) is currently leading the effort to launch a study and concept design for a Homewood student union and campus center.

The commitment to enhancing the undergraduate experience at Hopkins is one of President Daniels' Ten by Twenty goals.  PA&E has been working with many groups across the university to identify the activities and services that our student center should include.  We've identified the area around the Mattin Center, Merrick Barn, Brody Learning Commons, and Whitehead Hall as the logical place to locate these spaces.  We've begun a selection process to engage design consultants to study the options and make recommendations.  The process will involve discussions with students, faculty, staff, trustees, parents, neighbors, city officials, and many others who are committed to developing a facility that is uniquely Hopkins.

Stay tuned, we will share more news about this exciting project as it develops.
