Jay Murphy

Sr. Director of Facility Operations

Jay Murphy joins Johns Hopkins University as the Senior Director for Facility Operations.  Previously, he served as the Director for Project Development and Delivery Strategy at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority where he was responsible for developing projects to support their 6-year, $12+ billion Capital Program.  Jay’s career includes serving over 27 years with the Navy leading large, complex engineering services and facility maintenance organizations around the world.  Jay is a registered Professional Engineer and has a Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master of Engineering from the University of Florida.
